What We're Doing ...

    One day to go!!

Only one more day to go till this year’s beer festival! As you can imagine, we are all frantically busy here trying to get the venue sorted and the beers delivered. We’ve had the vouchers printed – they’re £1.50 each, which gets you a half pint – and the programmes are coming off the press as I write.

We’ve also finalised the list of beers on offer over the weekend and there are some pretty special ones on there!

One that we’re really looking forward to is Glastonbury Ales’ Lady of the Lake, which is a really delicious caramel bitter and definitely not one to be missed!

We’ve also got hold of two beers from Hunter’s Brewery, which is a micro brewery in the heart of Devon. Crack Shot is an easy drinking ale that will even appeal to the lager drinkers among you …. but we’ve left the strongest till last, the immense Full Bore which is a whopping 8% ABV!!! This beer’s strength is cunningly hidden behind a surprisingly refreshing taste, which comes about because there’s plenty of Devon honey in there!

Our final beer of the weekend is another strong one – it’s Sandford Orchards’ Devon Scrumpy, a lovely cloudy cider that comes in at 6.5% ABV.

So that’s our beer list sorted for this year. Which ones are you looking forward to? Which ones do you wish we had included – and we’ll do our best to get them next year!
